Travel back in time with Chef Tony Mantuano to his ancestral home in Italy's Calabria region to experience traditional dishes from southern Italy at Spiaggia.

Join four-star Italian Chef Tony Mantuano for a delectable luncheon and interactive cooking demonstration at his world-class and Michelin Star restaurant. Chef Mantuano was honored with the 2005 James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef Midwest, appeared in the champions round on season two of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, and was awarded The Chicago Tribune’s Good Eating Award. Spiaggia was awarded the Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator.

You’ll dine in Spiaggia’s private room overlooking Lake Michigan, view a demonstration by Chef Mantuano making Calabria’s traditional, old-world pasta, cook with Chef Mantuano, taste a modern version of his grandmother’s dishes, and enjoy classic, regional wines. You’ll also meet Feng Sheng Hu, the Harry E. Preble Dean of the College of LAS, and learn about new programs and innovations in the college.

Don’t miss this opportunity to join Dean Hu and fellow LAS alumni for a traditional Italian food and wine experience with Chef Tony Mantuano and Executive Chef Joe Flamm at Spiaggia.
